Eyelash tinting is one of the best alternatives to using mascara as it shows you the true length of your lashes due to them being dyed. This is one of the most popular treatments that I offer.
As they say the eyes are the window to the soul, so it's great to have them really stand out. Tinting makes such a difference it definately is the before and after.
Now just to let you know it doesn't make your lashes longer, it just colours them which gives the appearance as if you were wearing make up.

Here Are The Benefits Of Eyelash Tinting.
The eyelash tinting product used is combinal, I chose this as it is a better quality and lasts longer than some other brands. It is mixed with peroxide. There is no need to wear mascara as it gives you the look as if you are already wearing it.
Great if you are going on holiday or swimming. No need for eye make. Shows the true length of your lashes due to the lashes haven been dyed at the top and bottom. Clients often comment their lashes are short but find when they have them tinted they really see them better.
The eyelash tinting products I use comes in various colours... black...blue/black...dark brown...and grey, I very rarely use this colour on its own usually I can mix it with one of the other colors to change the intensity of that colour.
Gives your eyelashes and eyebrows real definition. For lash tint... it lasts anything from 6-8 weeks...for brow tinting it is generally up to 4 weeks. Although everyone is different.
One thing I will mention also is after your eyelashes have been done you can wear mascara if you want, their is no written rule saying you can't it's just a lot of people prefer not to as mascara doesn't suit them or they may be allergic to it.
Also short lashes can be tinted, I have done this but it is a challenge and sometimes the tint can stain the skin and this will stay stained for a couple of days.
Also deep set eyes are also a challenge and when people have to close their eyes in order for the tint to be put on the top lashes, sometimes the tint gets on the skin and can stain it, so just be aware before you decide to have it done.
I often tell people not to close their eyes to tightly as again tint can get onto the skin and also if you do not like people working round your eyes or find it hard to keep them open then it will not be a good idea to get it done as the eyes will be too watery.

Overly watery eyes
Allergies.
Recent surgery.
You also need to make sure you take out your contact lenses before I can tint your eyelashes.
Things To Be Aware Of About Eyelash Tinting.
If you have never been to me then you must have a patch test done 24/48 hrs before coming in for the treatment. The reason for a test is to make sure you don't have an allergic reaction.
The patch test envolves a bit of tint being mixed with peroxide and then put on the skin usually behind the ear, left on for 3-4 mins then removed. 24-48 Hrs after the test you need to look out for the skin being itchy, inflammed, red and any burning sensation.
During the treatments some people may feel the following sensations...slight nipping, heat or slight burning of itchy whilst the tint is on... in the event that it was feeling uncomfortable it would be removed immediately... most people however feel little if nothing at all.
What Happens When I Have Eyelash Tinting Done?
First of all we discuss the colour you want. The eye area is cleaned removing any make up. Barrier cream (petroleum jelly) is applied to the top and bottom eyelids. The dye is applied to both bottom and top lashes ensuring the lashes are completely dyed.
Cotton wool pads are placed on top of both eyes. The dye stays on 10- 15 mins. It is then removed thoroughly and rinsed with water to finish. Clients have said this is the best bit as it cools and refreshes the eyes. It also ensures no tint is on the lashes when you leave.
The whole process takes 30 mins... This is the success to making sure it lasts... 6-8 weeks.... So as you can see there are a lot of benefits to eyelash tinting.
What Happens When I have My Brows Tinted
First of all we discuss the colour you want. Barrier cream (petroleum jelly) is applied to the top and bottom of the eyebrow.
The chosen dye is applied to both eyebrows and then removed...more colour can be applied until it is the colour you like and need. The finished result leaves you feeling more confident as it gives real definition to the eyebrow.
Other Treatments For The Eyes.
Other treatments that you can have done to your eyes is Semi Permanent Lash Extensions and Eye Lash Perming. These are not treatments that I offer but have some knowledge of them, I guess there are pros and cons to both.
So for example when you get eyelash extensions they can be made of real hair so they look more natural, they are time consuming to do as I believe it can take a couple of hours to apply them as they are applied to each induvidual lash.
They can last up to 2-3 months although you need to go for top up sessions as I guess you will get used to them. It's like anything once you get into a new habit thats it. However a lot of people can now buy kits and do it at home themselves as it is much cheaper as salon treatments are expensive.
Eyelash Perming is good for those of you who have straight lashes and is better than usuing lash curlers. Although you got to go to someone who is good as if it is done wrong the lashes can be to curly making them really short looking as they are so curly.
I have personally seen them done badly and it is not a pleasant sight so do your research, always do this anyway with everything. Word of mouth is a really good way to find someone good. So as you can see there are lots of treatments for the eye lashes and eyebrows. It would seem as far as I have experienced eyelash tinting and eyebrow tinting is still very popular.
